Cobra LTDx Max Ladies Golf Driver
Cobra Golf have muscled their way onto the top table of golf equipment manufacturers over the past few seasons, with a string of excellent product lines that have performed superbly in all independent testing. Cobra have always been at the forefront of innovation in golf club manufacture, and they have never been afraid to experiment with new technologies that would lead to improved ball speeds, forgiveness looks and sound. Cobra have now released the LTDx range of metal woods to an expectant golfing public and without any question it is the finest collection of woods and hybrids that they have ever produced.
Cobra’s design team have employed machine learning and CNC machining to shape their innovative technology, and this has led to the E9 face being replaced by a new variable thickness design named H.O.T face (Highly Optimised Technology). This explosive new face has been precision tuned to provide the ultimate in ball-speed, leading to significant improvement in the distance your drives travel. The clubface thickness has been optimised in fifteen different zones to help maximise the ball-speed regardless of where on the face the shot is struck.
As with the outgoing RadSpeed range there are three different head choices, with each model providing different qualities and allows you to choose the ideal model for your launch characteristics. The LTDx LS driver is for the higher speed and more advanced golfer that likes to hit high launching, low spinning bombs, whilst the LTDx MAX is a maximum draw biased head that offers exceptional levels of stability. The LTDx driver is their ‘standard’ head that will be suitable for the greatest cross section of golfers and is an excellent blend of the other two drivers in the range.
For many golfers, each round brings with it a constant battle against the dreaded slice, with tee shots often veering off with alarming severity into the rough or bushes. Thankfully for golfers that have been cursed with this most unwelcome shot shape, the new Cobra LTDx Max driver has arrived on the scene to help cure it. Featuring both MAX stability and MAX draw bias, the Cobra LTDx Max driver allows the golfer to adjust it’s set up using moveable weight technology to achieve optimal results. When the 10g heavy weight is positioned in the back of the head the Ltdx Max driver plays at its most stable whilst still retaining some draw bias through an added weight positioned in the heel. When the heavy weight is placed in the heel of the driver it plays at its most draw biased setting, providing 11yards of slice correction.
As with all the drivers in the new range, the LTDx driver features their new H.O.T. Face technology and replaces the E9 face from previous generations. The ‘Highly Optimised Topology’ face has been precision tuned for speed using data gathered from thousands of impact simulations. There are fifteen different zones across the club face with differing thicknesses which helps to maximise ball-speeds regardless of where the ball has been struck on the face. Cobra’s CNC machining has combined with machine learning to produce this completely new face which will provide a welcome boost to the power of your tee shots.
Previous versions of heavily draw biased drivers have always struggled to match the overall performance of other drivers in the range and so choosing an anti-slice club would mean a trade-off that would result in less distance and higher spin rates. The multi material construction of the Cobra LTDx Max driver does not suffer from the same problems and provides top level ball-speeds and forgiveness that will power the slicer further and straighter than ever before. If you are a golfer that has always feared a slice, then fear no more. The Cobra LTDx Max is here to save the day.
