Mizuno Pro 225 Golf Irons
Since the Golf World rankings were first introduced, there have only ever been 24 players to have reached the lofty position of #1 player in the world. Of that 24, 13 of those have played Mizuno irons through their career. That is a staggeringly high percentage and clearly demonstrates the level of quality that Mizuno bring to the golf iron market. When the best players demand the ultimate in precision, feel and control, they choose Mizuno. It isn’t just high-level tour players that clamour for the feeling at impact that only a forged Mizuno iron can provide, club golfers all the over the world also look to Mizuno when they are looking to take their iron game to the next level.
The release of a new range of Mizuno forged irons is, quite rightly, met with enormous fervour by the adoring golfing public and so it is our pleasure to introduce to you the stunning Mizuno Pro range of forged irons. Improving on the enormously successful MP-20 range of irons was always going to be an arduous task, and yet this iconic Japanese manufacturer has succeeded once again, and with some aplomb. The Mizuno Pro range once again consists of three different irons, with each head style aimed at golfers with differing ability levels. The Mizuno Pro 225 is the direct replacement for the outgoing MP-20 HMB (Hot Metal Blade) which were Mizuno’s first entry into the hollow headed players iron category.
The Hot Metal Blade design is the ideal choice for the golfer that requires increased performance in both distance and forgiveness but wants to retain a classic look at address. The Mizuno Pro 225 have been constructed using a multi material composite structure. The long and middle irons are created using a Chrome-Molybdnum steel face which is combined with tungsten weighting and a stainless steel body whilst the short irons have benefit from a softer club-face for increased control. The main body of the head benefits from Mizuno’s famous Grain Flow Forging process which was first patented in 1998 and consists of multiple forging stages using a single billet of steel and uses the metal’s natural grain to enhance the clubhead’s integrity.
The irons have been engineered in such a way as to produce a higher trajectory in the mid and longer irons and a lower flight with increased spin in the shorter irons. This allows the golfer to be more aggressive and hit it closer to the flags with every iron in the bag. Aesthetically they are simply stunning when resting behind the ball at address, with a shape that will delight all golfers that yearn for the traditional designs that Mizuno are masters at creating. Bag appeal is at an all-time high with the MP initials being replaced by the iconic Mizuno Pro text. Despite the increased technology and the hottest forged face ever produced, the overall look remains sleek and classy and the famous Mizuno feel has been retained through the strike.
If you are looking for a new set of high performance, hollow head players irons that offer class leading distance, feel and trajectory control, then the Mizuno Pro 225 irons should be at the very top of your list. This stunning set of irons is sure to be hugely popular with golfers who demand increased levels of performance without losing the classic blade style look at address.
